Curation
I have curated two exhibits at the Cooke Optics London Gallery and Test Space in Newman Street which celebrate the art and history of the moving image and the innovative practitioners who've created works that move us.

Currently running is “Colour: Chromatic Worlds” which invites visitors to embark on a journey through the history of colour in filmmaking. From the fantastical hand-painted French cinema of the early 1900s all the way up to the modern day. We engage with colour every day - our curiosity comes from a primal place that filmmakers can use to their advantage. The exhibit celebrates seminal works throughout film history that have done just that and champions the pioneers who were playful and adventurous. Book a time slot to visit
The inaugural exhibition was in 2024 and was all about FOCUS. When we think about camera focus, we tend to think of how sharp a frame looks, but it’s much more than that. Focus directly impacts how the audience perceive the subject matter. Directors and cinematographers use focus to convey a message about the story whether as a literal device, emphasising a specific detail; or subliminally to evoke an emotional response to the material or scene.
